I’m Polina Obshchanska, BSN, RN, a Lead Prior Authorization Nurse on a Medicare and Medi-Cal team, a former hospice RN case manager, and an MSN student in Nurse Administration. I built MedScholaria because the nurses I worked with were learning UM on the job, with no education written for the work they actually do. Ive been trying to get a job in Utilization Review as an RN, but unfortunately, I don’t have the needed experience, so I found this course to learn all about the job. It has really helped me understand the role.
